Something sparked
the idea of Internet free classifieds in March of 2002. A "Local Internet
Community Newspaper" that would offer free
advertising for individuals in Arizona desert
towns.
This Arizona newspaper would allow the surfer to place free ads of
all sorts. So... on vacation at
home, in Golden Valley, without
ever noticing a single free classified ad site on the Internet, I blindly started making an exhaustive effort to build
a site that offered easy free classifieds in Kingman.
A site named
Kingman66.com.
Knowing I had to make the site have the proper
categories, I used an old keepsake newspaper from my hometown, and a local
Arizona newspaper to research the classified model. Oh, did I mention that at the time I knew close
to nothing about building websites... or the Internet?
Gradually, I started noticing that Internet free
classifieds were NUMEROUS. Hmmn... But, I found that I was enjoying the process of
building the site so much that I didn't care that Free Internet Classifieds
were already around.
Get this: there was a billboard on Route66 in Kingman
(Andy Divine) offering free classifieds in Arizona. I drove by it a hundred
times or more. Did I notice it before I dreamt up free
classifieds on the Internet? No. Was I in the Dark Or What? One thing was for certain though, as I looked at other
free classified sites, we had something in common, besides
do-it-yourself ads. The ads were buried. And it was up to the surfer to
make them surface.
I was looking to develop a way to make the ads
appear the same as a classified ad newspaper. (I wanted that from the
beginning). Within a year and a half I was able to research the Internet and
find out how to make the free classified ads you place show up like a
classified ad newspaper after placing an ad.
I have been accused of going overboard to try to
please people. So... I hope that you are pleased with the
Arizona Free Classifieds. Your ads will show up on the front page of the
individual site in which you place your ad.
I still think of The Arizona Free Classifieds sites as
an avenue for anyone to place a free ad. But at the same time, an amazing
avenue that will allow just a regular person like you and me to stumble onto
a great deal on a dream home, or that something that we've been looking for.
Arizona Free Classifieds on the Front Page. Each site
has Over 150 categories to choose from. Read, place, respond, and subscribe
to FREE Classified ads in Arizona.
I'm Honored that you will use the Arizona Free Classifieds.
Happy Posting
